Fire Regulations within Sayward

Open fires and or backyard burning is not allowed within the Sayward Village without a permit signed and approved by the Fire Chief.

The village of Sayward provides a Yard Waste area by the side of the recycle building to help with disposal of yard/garden waste (not trash), therefore, eliminating the need for back yard burning. For more information please contact the village office.

Open fires in the valley are controlled by the regional fire centre in Parksville, any fire permits must be obtained from their office.
